Friday, September 11, 2015 - PNP: Cassis and leather. Quite dense. Fresh acidity with marked tannins. Juicy and youthful. Long. Felt this should be cellared another 4-5 years. Day 2: Left overnight, it had opened up somewhat. Still plenty of cassis, but more earthy/banyard notes. Tannins still some flexing towards the finish. More velvety. Would still recommend cellaring to catch further upside, although this will never be up there of course. A nice, reliable claret that I think will pair well with beef.
