Saturday, December 27, 2014 - Here's the deal: I opened this with great expectations. It was completely disastrous the first day. Horrible. Sour, fruitless, one dimensional. I thought I had a flawed bottle. We put it back under cork and two days later I poured some into a glass instead of in the sink...good thing I did, because it had opened up a great deal and developed some fruit and some complexity. After reading people's recent notes, I am convinced that this wine is currently HORRIBLY closed. I don't know that it will get any better than a 92-93, but I am thinking that it should not be approached for another four or five years. I have five left, and I am going to wait a while.
