Sunday, January 4, 2015 - Maturing nicely with some bricking on the rim now. Can drink or hold. For my tastes (which tend towards preferring youthful vigour over tertiary flavours), seems pretty close to optimal now.
Spicy red fruit on the nose with a hint of tobacco and leather. Good balance between fruit, tannin and acidity. Lively, sappy red fruit on the palate with floral notes, leather and spice in the background. Finishes quite long. Good Brunello in a good vintage and very good value.
