Community Tasting Note

Tuesday, July 6, 2010 - From the same 375 as ggolec. Notes were similar -- cork came out relatively easy, in two pieces. Virtually all the sediment (58 years worth) remained in the bottle! For the first 30 minutes, nose still had fruit -- dried prunes and raisins, plus TONS of toffee and caramel. As time went on, the prunes/raisins dropped and were replaced by tawny port and more toffee. Some smokiness on the palate. Still had (some) tannins and a nice acidity. 60+ second finish.
