Wednesday, April 14, 2021 - Actually in truth unrateable. Just to be drinkable at this age is a feat. Had thought I'd ruined this bottle by having it sent through the mail. It then started to leak. Prior to this was Top Shoulder. Anyway, fabulous deep ruby colour on poring, changing to tawny with time in the glass. Every glass changed. After a little air, astonishing fruits, blackcurrant and dark cherry. Then incense, wood smoke, old churches, antique mahogany chests. Good acidity. great persistence. Extremely smooth tannins. Survived, drank well. Not a great vintage but it was a great bottle. And just as old as me. Not sure who has aged better. An experience.
