Friday, October 18, 2013 - Decanted for about an hour. Tight and coarse, with aggressive tannins. Also had a volatile acidity problem. Lots of oak and a bit too much diacetyl. The VA is most worrisome, as it will continue to affect the wine. Lots of tart black fruit, oak, butter, and baking spice aromas. Somewhat unbalanced.
