Just a bit of remaining fruit, slightly dry and tart, and a bit thin with low acidity, but the wine has developed some of the nice complexity of an advanced burgundy. Past its prime, but still interesting.

smooth, full bodied fruit, elegant finish with earth components present as the wine continues to develop with air.…great QPR at $37. this wine will likely not develop much more but it a very good drink right now.

Decanted for about an hour. Tight and coarse, with aggressive tannins. Also had a volatile acidity problem. Lots of oak and a bit too much diacetyl. The VA is most worrisome, as it will continue to affect the wine. Lots of tart black fruit, oak, butter, and baking spice aromas. Somewhat unbalanced.

Pinot Days (San Francisco): Elegant, great fruit, palate still very structured. Extraordinarily balanced; medium-long fruity finish. 92

An elegant, ripe and robust burg. Fantastically drinkable now, but with the tannins to support a few years of aging.
