Medium + bodied on the palate, sweet plum and black cherry fruit, spicy oak and vanilla, even a hint of chocolate, not massively deep on the mid-palate bit broadens nicely on a good length finish, framed by attractive fresh acidity. There are some firm, slightly tacky unresolved tannins and this isn't overly complex or profound, but still a very attractively flavoured drink for now and the next 2-3 years.
