Monday, September 19, 2011 - Very vibrant, deep and moreish despite its considerable weight and depth. I found myself wanting to not like this wine before I opened it (international style, or whatever reason I had in my head) but it is rather good and rather grows on you. Time in the glass gives out big black olive notes with crunchy black fruit, spices, chocolate and some greenish tinges. Quite rich in the mouth, but there is some serious structure here that points towards a long long life. A touch astringent on the finish, but this is a young wine that will open up beautifully in time. For £25 very good.
