Monday, October 28, 2019 - Splendid wine at its peak. Gorgeous nose of honey, green apple, grapefruit and stunning energy sending waves and waves of clove, nutmeg, coffee and toasted bread. Not all at same time but slowly and sensually bringing nuances of them. There is a purity which is verging on super mineral and saline which transforms into a delicious yet slightly bitter profile which is making it super complex and making me sip slowly into this dignified and I am appreciating every single drop of it.
At this point there is an allure that comes with years of cellaring and that the initial baby fat gone, but this dignity of being its own is calling for a moment of enjoyment and appreciation. Life is beautiful indeed. Cheers,
