Saturday, December 10, 2016 - Twelve months since first tasting, and the wine is still holding up. There is a hint of portyness creeping in, but that amazingly complex savoury mid-palate is shining strongly and is still nothing short of stunning. Again the key signatures are earth, graphite and dark roasted meats. Interestingly the tannins in this bottle are slightly more aggressive, but not annoyingly so. Still sensational, but maybe just on the decline. One bottle left, when to drink?
