Saturday, March 19, 2005 - 6:45, double-decanted back into bottle. Fair amount of fine sediment. I didn't get to drinking it until about 9:00 pm. I don't feel it was showing its best then unfortunately. Dark purple/plum colour. I could get the plum, kirsh, currant fruit underneath but there was a big layer of Brett, very horsey, though not in an entirely unpleasant way. Very well-balanced, tannins present but very polished with a long finish. I won't make the same mistake with my other bottles.
