Saturday, March 9, 2013 - Napa Cabs/Bordeaux Blends with 2002 Insignia and Vertical of Anderson's Conn Valley Eloge (Jan's Place, St. Paul, MN): Very dark red/purple collor. Vinturi and decanted 2.5hrs. Drank one glass over 1.5hrs. 65%CS, 25%M, 7%PV, 3%M. This had the best nose of the night and the best nose of the Eloge vertical. Perfumed, floral, blueberries galore, earthy, creme de cassis, spice. The palate translates beautifully with gorgeous blue and black fruits, earth, graphite, licorice, spice. Wonderful creamy texture, round tannins, powerful with finesse and an intense long finish. This was really impressive and still very youthful. The Anderson's Conn Valley wines are some of the best wines and values in Napa. This was my #2 WOTN.
