Saturday, September 3, 2016 - Firehouse orange red color. Mature, singed bouquet not unlike old Bordeaux. Lots of earthy notes of dried, red fruit, decaying leaves, au jus, and tomatoes. The fruit is long gone on the palate, you can say it's well past its prime, but it displayed structure, complexity, and tertiary flavors. Was even better paired with Chicken Paprikas. Drink up.
