Sunday, August 23, 2009 - I usually like the wines from Truchard very much, but this Syrah fall quite short of impressing. Heavy fruit and heavy alcohol. Hot, overdriven by black pepper aromas, and a bit disjointed. It improves with aeration, but it fails to impress.
