Thursday, March 28, 2019 - 6 of us shared a couple of bottles from my cellar over a Persian meal,
and we thought, unanimously, the wine was very good to excellent.It has retained its body and the colour was still a vibrant dark purplish. It has mellowed into a very evenly balanced albeit complex wine. The bottles had no sediment whatsoever which was a pleasant surprise.
I found the eucalyptus- herbaceous tones pleasing and comforting. It handled the reasonably spicy meal very well indeed. I believe my bottles are at peak and will therefore be offering them to my guests over the coming weeks.
