6 of us shared a couple of bottles from my cellar over a Persian meal, and we thought, unanimously, the wine was very good to excellent. It has retained its body and the colour was still a vibrant dark purplish. It has mellowed into a very evenly balanced albeit complex wine. The bottles had no sediment whatsoever which was a pleasant surprise. I found the eucalyptus- herbaceous tones pleasing and comforting. It handled the reasonably spicy meal very well indeed. I believe my bottles are at peak and will therefore be offering them to my guests over the coming weeks.

Hard to really like this. Fully mature (needed 30mins in a decanter), slightly spirity nose with cassis. Very fine ripe tanins, blackcurrant but also blackcurrant leaf and pretty dilute mid-palate, which is a tad drying, lacks concentration and depth and followed by a watery (satisfying) finish with a mint twist. Functional but over-ripe, high-yielding wine without any soul.

Drink with JB. Great despite 14.5% alcohol. Smooth strong fruit. Mellow. Very good

Rich, berry fruit - almost more Shiraz than Cab Sauv; tastes from a warm vintage. Really embraces food. Nice!

Fruit and soft tannins. Plenty of life yet, probably get more complex. Nice wine though. Drunk with Filet Steak and Red Wine Sauce
