Tuesday, January 24, 2023 - It’s pretty ripe, still lean, on the fruit combined with a beautiful “chemical” feel (the warm plastic, tennis ball and petrol). So good!
In superb shape for the age: Somewhere, there was still hints of reductive notes but also tiny hints of oxidation.

Quite expressive from the beginning, but wow… It just kept opening up.
Aromas of sweet lemon peel, candied ginger, dried apricot, lemongrass, ripe apples and lemon curd. There’s a mild hint of brioche and sesame, macadamia nuts, yellow flowers, some warm plastic/tennis ball and petrol (that work incredibly well with the mature fruit!!!) and white wine gum. The lees is very delicate, and the minerality is super pure leaning towards wet stones and chalk.
On the palate, it’s medium(+)bodied, dry with medium but well balanced acidity and soft edges. Super clean texture! Lemon peel, ripe nectarine, tangerine, ginger, a mild touch of lees, hints of butterscotch and salmiak, and a good touch of salt and chalk in the finish.
