  • 2022 Les Horées Bourgogne Bonheur Rosé

Very fruity on the nose, offering notes of strawberry-rhubarb compote, raspberry sorbet, peach-melba, watermelon, hints of basil and blooming red flowers. But mainly just ripe fruits.
It’s medium-bodied with medium acidity and a tight and dry texture - not really tannic. Again, very fruity with notes of raspberry, dried strawberry, strawberry-rosehip compote, bitter red grapefruit and hints of salmiak. Mild chalky notes.

It’s a good and well-made rosé, but not more than that.
To me, it lacks freshness and some tension in this vintage. But it’s also very young of course.
Surprisingly dark in color for a direct-pressed PN.
I liked the 2021 more - better freshness.

  • 2021 Passofonduto (Giuseppe Cipolla) Vino Rosso Le Robbe

Good depth on the nose with lots of dark fruits and herbs; blackberry, blueberry-pepper compote, cherry sauce, hints of prunes, orange peel, rosemary, thyme, tonic bean, bayleaves, hints of truffle, tobacco, black sweet licorice, baked plum, warm dry earth, gravel, chalk and forest scents. Very delicious with a liftet freshness!
Palate; semi-rich body with an electric acidity to perfectly balance the ripe fruit. Nice grainy tannic structure. Sweet cherry sauce, dried cranberry, Morello cherry, blackberry, hints of prunes, hints of chinoto, orange peel, cloves, raw mushrooms, lots of herbs, hints of red chili, iron and chalk in the finish.

    Such cool energy!
Love it!
Incredible balance and vibrance. Love this sweeter fruit with this incredible freshness.
    Juicy, but still very serious.
    The 14% are well hidden.

  • 2020 Domaine de la Pinte Savagnin Vin de France Sav 'Or

    Notes from day 2:
Very ripe and open on the nose, offering delicious exotic notes of orange jam, mango, dried apricot, syruped kumquat, lychee, peach wine gum, kiwi, lemon meringue, almonds, hints of green tea, a touch of oyster shells and a tiny VA.
On the palate; rich but not heavy, a mild crunchy tannic structure with a soft acidity. Rosehip-orange jam, persimmon, cloudberry, sweet dried apple and papaya, bitter orange peel, hints of honey, white pepper, hazelnut and cloves. It’s got a nice salty touch.

Better and more open on day 2 (more fruity, less green).
An easy-going orange wine that doesn’t offend anyone but still has some very intriguing elements. Good stuff, for sure.
