Sunday, April 5, 2015 - Aroma of cherries and cola. Tannins are completely melded, providing a smooth warmth on the upper palate. The wine is saturated with flavors of cola and cherries with a hint of licorice and just a thought of tar. Fresh and lively, the wine is wonderful but just short of true greatness as it lacks the complexity to take it to the next level. This is the last bottle of a case I've enjoyed during the past 15 years. I've found great bottle variation in that time. This was one of the better bottles.
