Sunday, May 24, 2015 - Muffled nose with lots of sweet oak aromas. Coffee, cinnamon, vanilla and pine resin. Showing some development with a bit of dried fruit and a little tobacco.
If the nose didn't give the wine away, the palate sure did. Medium+ to high acidity, chewy nebbiolo tannins. Good intensity and a good finish.
A good wine, but I'm realizing more and more that I'm not a big Piemonte fan. It seems to be the exception rather than the rule that I like the regions wines.
