Tuesday, December 20, 2016 - First of these I've opened in four years - mainly because I haven't been able to find them in the crawl space : ) This wine is testament to the capacity of wine to develop with cellar time, having transformed in character completely from a wine of pure finesse and needle-point acidity to a medium-bodied dessert wine in which the acidity appears as the backbone to a broad, well-buffered, texturally pillowy, with prominent but balanced sweetness and depth, as well as finesse. Quite a wine. Shows better after a day open on the counter, so no rush, imho.
