Wednesday, May 9, 2012 - Deep ruby to inky black in glass. 13% alc. This is so fresh. Neutral but with presence. Very elegant and works so well with food which is what I love about Syrah from St Joseph. The wine boasts fresh acids as well as dusty fine grain tannins which makes this so versatile that it could pair with light to heavier dishes. gamey, minerally, baking spices, cloves, allspice, pimento, sorrel, black cherry on the nose with matching palate.
