Friday, May 26, 2023 - This was not an academic exercise. Deep gold with almost amber tinge, nose like pear tarts, toasted. Full bodied and feeling like it's higher in alcohol than the label states (13%). The signature waxiness has evolved into a caramel quality, but caramel without sweetness. Dried stone fruits. So good. Drink or hold for maybe another couple, three years.
