Monday, February 16, 2009 - part of a vertical tasting of '99-'03. It is so interesting to see the subtle changes from year to year. There was a major jump in style between '99 and onward, with later years richer and creamier while still staying very vibrant riding the high alcholol. Really could have been drinking a great Burgundy, everything was so balanced. Not much of a nose on this one, and a bit more citrus then the '00, opened up well over the evening and was very satisfying.
