Thursday, February 13, 2020 - Cellaraid Discovery Box; 5/19/2017-5/26/2021 (Delivered to Home): Deep amber colour, while having a starlight brilliance. A developed nose, with aromas of ripe red apple, pear, guava, some leafiness, honeysuckle, and honeycomb. Quite some weight and even having a tannic character for a white, with bruised apple skin flavour, pear, quince, mint, honeysuckle and even slight barnyard and peppery. Very interesting to have seen how this age, strangely similar to their Chenin counterparts further down the valley

3/17/2020 10:57:00 PM - Thanks! In fact I did this one blind and guessed a well-aged Vouvray, because of the distinct Chenin notes. Was a WTF moment for me when it was revealed as a Sancerre :D
