First bottle pulled with cork apparently having dropped into the wine a long time ago, ullage was 2 inches under the shoulder; looked ok, if rather dark, and tasted like acetone smells. The second bottle was fine, the cork just soaked, and much like the previous, strong color and fruit pleasantly aged.

From memory, we don’t drink that much Hermitage but this seems on the lighter elegant side, with very pretty fruit and balance.
