Friday, November 16, 2018 - The 2005 Clos des Truffiers has turned into a mature beauty. At first sniff, the nose exhibits massive and elegant fruit, wet saddle leather, fresh herbs, sun dried violets, flowers and lovely citrus zest. The palate follows through nicely with balanced and integration. Age has certainly helped the latter. Acidity is balanced and not overwhelming or intrusive. Worth mentioning is the cool elegance expressed in this effort, despite a high alcohol level. A lovely effort well worth seeking out if given the chance!
