Saturday, November 6, 2021 - Could be the first Rhys wine I've had that's in a mature state, or at least knocking on the door of it. It's got an old-Burgundy style earthy nose layered on top of fruit that's still holding on to some of that fresh cranberry snap and pop but is also starting to pick up some rusty iron tones. Quite full and packed though I'm not sure it's as svelte as subsequent vintages.
