Sunday, February 7, 2016 - First one of these in 18 months and my last bottle. Consistent with my prior note. I was afraid that this might be over-the-hill, but it's still drinking very nicely. The fruit has faded somewhat, giving this a more elegant feel now. Full-bodied and silky in texture, displaying very good depth and intensity on the the mid-palate, without being hot or heavy. Well-balanced, with a moderate acidity and a bit less oaky now. The finish is long and smooth, featuring well-integrated tannins and a lingering aftertaste of sweet cream and spice. Rich, polished and complex.
