90 Points

Monday, December 17, 2012 - Reminiscent of the 2008 Albane & Bertrand Minchin Valençay VDQS Le Claux Delorme I drank recently, but marginally better. This is a well made, interesting wine, which shows a pleasant floral, garrigue, and mineral bouquet, solid structure and minerality, great acid, good depth and strong finish. Drank it over two days and it was at least as good on the second day. This wine is still going strong and tastes every bit as good a say a Monopole Premier Cru Cote de Beaune from a good vintage. I have had far worse actual Burgundies which cost a lot more. Overall, I am impressed, but I paid only $13. At retail, it's still a reasonable value.
