91 Points

Sunday, January 28, 2018 - I opened this bottle at the end of a long evening, because we started discussing the 2007 vintage, and I wanted to show how a good 2007 can be. Mortet still never disappoints, and gives me cold dark sweet minty fruit in abundance, paired with fine grained tannins showing me this wine still has years left in the cellar. A stellar performance from my favourite producer, as always. Concentration still pushes above the appellation, and this could very well be mistaken for a premier cru if tasted blind.
