Thursday, March 14, 2013 - Ruby red with watery edges and dark core. In the nose very reductive and lightly sulphuric with strong notes of blown out candle and burnt match, in addition some animalic notes (fur) and not much fruit (a hint of cherry, maybe). The reductive notes don't go away with air. On the palate, this is stunning, very finely woven with soft, but noticeable acidity, lots of red currant. If only the nose was more likable, this would be fantastic.
