90 Points

Thursday, April 7, 2011 - Poured deep, purple/red still looking quite young, with a nose of classic cigar and blackcurrent. No sign of jam or over concentrated/cooked fruit here. Refreshing on the palate due to good acid and clean, ripe fruit, this Menzies was beautifully balanced and aged. A long length on the finish only added to the experience. The wine started to break-up a touch after two hours in the decanter, so I suspect that I it wont age for that much longer. Beautiful.

Drank it with Sirloin done on the BBQ for a Pom and a South Korean. They too enjoyed the wine/steak combo.
