Sunday, July 3, 2022 - Patience is paying off. These are starting to blossom. No coaxing or wondering needed. This one showed a marked flinty character after a couple hours of air. Otherwise its a forwardly expressive now, showing fresh apples, citrus rind, nougat and hints of tropical fruits. Its really cut from its own cloth, not exactly showing like a more valley centered Chardonnay we are used to. But I wouldn't really call it Burgundian either. Quite good.
