Monday, November 21, 2011 - Opened and slow-ox'd for about 2 hours then decanted 30 minutes. Giving up no nose in the bottle nor in the decanter, but then an excellent spicy nose with some earth and toast in the glass. Extremely elegant with balanced flavors of baking spices, mostly red fruits, and a hint of earth and tea. Noticeable acidity that i really liked, but was toned down with a strip steak. Had roasted vegetables (including mushrooms) that really brought out the earth/spice flavors. Long finish - this was a real joy to drink last night.
