Wine was really out of balance. I was expecting red cherries and strawberries based on previous vintages. It had red and black cherries, but was clunky and had a quite a bit of heat poking through which I previously hadnt experienced in a Holdredge.

14.6% alcohol. Pretty wine. Red cherry color. Lovely nose of black cherry, flowers, and baking spice. In the mouth, racy and not as rich as the alcohol level might make you think. Well-balanced and with pure fruit that is elevated by the complexity. Strong acidity and a solid finish. A-

Wine was terrific from opening. Similar to the last few notes. Just outstanding balance and clarity. Bright fruit, a little pine and graham cracker. Just terrific. Paired well with pulled pork. Great wine.

Opened and slow-ox'd for about 2 hours then decanted 30 minutes. Giving up no nose in the bottle nor in the decanter, but then an excellent spicy nose with some earth and toast in the glass. Extremely elegant with balanced flavors of baking spices, mostly red fruits, and a hint of earth and tea. Noticeable acidity that i really liked, but was toned down with a strip steak. Had roasted vegetables (including mushrooms) that really brought out the earth/spice flavors. Long finish - this was a real joy to drink last night.

Brilliant nose that jumps out of the glass. Rose petals, baked cherries, rhubarb. Complex palate. Mainly red fruited but with some darker notes as well. Smooth yet lively mouthfeel. Superb. Has evolved quite a bit since the last bottle six months ago.

Beautiful Pinot. Strawberries dominate the nose along with noticeable gravel and some steminess. Palate is very rich and more Californian/less Burgundian than the previous Holdredge Pinots I have tried. Long finish with great fruit, strawberries again with some cherry. Medium acid, very balanced.

Decanted for 30 minutes then consumed. I have become quite a fan of Holdredge wines. John and Carrie do a great job. This particular wine wasn't my favorite although it was satisfying. My wife loved it. Young, slight oak, blueberry, a bit of cherry and not overly alcoholic. I prefer the Bucher vineyard for similar money, but this is still a very nice wine.

Consumed over 4 days, and it was still going strong. Complex without being one of those big RRV beasts. Seemed well made, and could easily go another 5 years. Well done!

Popped and poured, consumed over 3 hours. Light Pinot color. Nose of strawberries, dirt, spices and some toasty oak--really shines the longer its been open. Taste is strawberry, mineral with mild tannins. Nice balance; lingering mouthfeel. Glad I had it and would definitely buy again.

Pop and pour. Transparent cranberry/ruby color. Gave it an hour plus to air. Floral nose with a hint of cinnamon and cherries. In the mouth it has lots of texture and a RRV fullness without the cola, velvety smooth, balanced acidity, some minerals, more cinnamon and syrah-like gaminess on the finish which lingers. Rockin' good Pinot. Definitely a re-purchase.

Barrel sample. Black cherry, spice, minerals, and earth on the nose. Already a very complete wine, with lovely fruit and purity. The structure is starting to round out, and the finish is long. This will be terrific.

Lively nose of fresh strawberries. The palate has a similar fruit profile but seems a touch dull and flabby.
