Sunday, January 18, 2015 - Forest floor, and compressed cherry fruit on the nose. Medium viscosity on the palate, which shows great fresh fruit flavors of cherry, strawberry and cranberry. Great tannic spine and acidity that give this a masculine dimension to it, with just enough extract showing to be enjoyable now. Shows nice understated power on the finish. Found this to be sufficiently complex for the vineyard, definitely a heady wine with a long future ahead. Gave this a good 4+ hour decant and it paid off.
