Limited notes as drank in a restaurant. Beautifully pure strawberry and raspberry juice, with steely minerality and dusty dry undergrowth. All transferred from nose to palette, along with star anise and with a long floral finish.

Light for a red burg, especially for a grand cru, but not surprising given my experience with earlier vintages. Red berry notes with a strong acid spine- very strong initially but then mellowed with air. Very pleasant.

This Medium-bodied wine is drinking well at this time. Predominantly Red fruit with earth and underbrush flavors tones. This is not a dark or heavy wine at all but quite lively. Still getting some acid on the moderately complex finish with an elegant presence. Will likely improve somewhat over the next 5 years or so but quite enjoyable now. Good depth of fruit in the mid-palate. This is not a lightweight wine even though it's a 2007 red Burgundy. Minerals dance on your tongue after the swallow. Very nice wine indeed.
This is just terrific. What an under appreciated domain. Light ruby/brick color. The nose bursts with cherry fruit, wild herbs and earth. Light in color and body but so full of strength. This is light, long and deep. A fabulous combination. Hitting its peak right now, should drink beautifully for the next 10+ years. Love this style. (95)

This a my last bottle and I’m afraid that I’ve done an injustice to my previous bottles by drinking them too soon. The stemmy, herbaceous notes have matured into a pretty nuance and the mouthfeel, overall, has become rather delicate with pretty red fruit and baking spice. Quite nice.

This bottle was more complex and longer on the palate than the 11/21/15 bottle, a true Corton Grand Cru in quality and delicious with my wife's outstanding grilled swordfish.

2007 DOMAINE CHANDON de BRIAILLES CORTON-BRESSANDES GRAND CRU- Blind: dark purple colour; the nose was very inviting with hints of goodness to follow; indeed, as wondrous spicy and even a touch of pepper comes in to enhance the red and black cherry fruit; it was full bodied, rich and luscious

This is really blossoming into a very pretty wine. Shortly after opening the greenish, herbaceous undertones that I've come to expect as the hallmark of this producer gave thIs bottle a very Rhone feel, but after about 3 hours this turned into a really eccellent burgundy with lots of depth and nuance to its dark red fruit and greenish sous bois notes.

Brought to dinner at Sitka & Spruce. Darker ruby color. Nose of pine forest, black raspberry, tea leaf, violets, hints of currant, stone. Layers of sharp, muscular, and very pure mulberry and black raspberry fruit on the palate laced with anise, brambles, and iron. Tart acidity and firm tannin leading to a lively finish of clean red fruit and stony grip. Very much on the upswing but quite enjoyable now.

Overall this has been aging gracefully and drinking really well today. I don't think this needs any more time not to say that it couldn't sleep for another 2-3 years. This aged Corton should be fantastic with our Bird today. Enjoy!!

Had a taste by Coravin. Notes consistent with prior bottle - lovely complex notes with sweet fruit/floral notes. Fine grained tannins show the GC level of the wine but the greenish rustic flavors and spice detract for me although they show the vintage character and geographic origin of this wine clearly.

My second bottle after a not really great experience with their '07 Corton Clos de Roi. These have all seemed oddly dilute, and maybe with some heat damage. This bottle also seemed, upon opening, to have some residual sugar, as if they chaptalized and fermentation didn't finish-is that possible? Cherry top note and some soil. Not bad but definitely not up to the other reviews or Grand Cru depth or weight. I realize it wasn't a great vintage, but still...

In contrast to my previous thoughts on this wine, tonight I find this to be quite delightful. There's nice depth to the almost delicate, sweet red fruit, abundant earth, sois bois and Asian spice. Also tonight, the ever present, green, herbaceous notes that I've come to expect from this producer were less of a distraction and more of a nuance and quite enjoyable. The tannins on the finish are still abit on the firm side, but not at all obtrusive. All in all, quite nice.

Medium red color. Aromas of red plum skins, underbrush and allspice. Light bodied but nicely detailed fruit in the mouth with very good depth and length. Very suave and silky on the palate. A little disappointing for a Grand Cru but delicious with the squab at The Farm and the Fisherman Restaurant.

Medium ruby color. Dense, somewhat imploded nose of iron, red raspberry, mulberry, forest floor, musky floral notes. Muscular layers of tense red fruit, iron flecks, red earth, and a bit of oak influence that soon burned off. Agree there was a note of rusticity present but the tannic structure was aristocratic and firm. Acidity was ample. Longer finish of steely mulberry fruit which lingered nicely on the tongue. Very young and certainly in need of 3-5 years of additional aging to start showing its stuff.

Has a terrific nose of red fruits, earth, exotic spice and autumn leaves. The palate doesn't quite live up to that initial promise: flavors and tannins are a bit rustic and rough, in a way that is recognizable as Cote de Beaune rather than Cote de Nuits. Cherry licorice flavors with a touch of greenness that reflect the 2007 vintage well prevent this wine from having the generosity to be exceptional. The Grand Cru origin of this wine shows a bit in the texture, which is smoother than the average villages-level Beaune. Consumed over several nights, so got plenty of time and air to open up. Nice wine, but only on par with a good solid CdN villages, I would say. Priced appropriately; certainly has more time but not a shame to open now.

Forest floor, and compressed cherry fruit on the nose. Medium viscosity on the palate, which shows great fresh fruit flavors of cherry, strawberry and cranberry. Great tannic spine and acidity that give this a masculine dimension to it, with just enough extract showing to be enjoyable now. Shows nice understated power on the finish. Found this to be sufficiently complex for the vineyard, definitely a heady wine with a long future ahead. Gave this a good 4+ hour decant and it paid off.

Nice enough, but the more wine of this producer that I drink, the more I become underwhelmed.
