Monday, August 17, 2015 - Deep, dark reddish-garnet in color with ever-so-slight clearing at the edges. Forward, attractive and fragrant nose of mature & complex ripe dark fruit aromas of cherries, blackberries & cassis with cedar & loam overtones with lovely secondary nuances of earthy, dusty, leather, aged tobacco, dried herbs, mint, cocoa, spices, some tar notes, minerals, smoky and a touch of toasted oak. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, developed & mature, Complex & seamless, ripe fruits of dark cherries, blackberries and sweet dark plums with earthy, spices, herbs, cocoa, eucalyptus/mint, minerals and toasty oak. Long lingering smooth finish. Drinks quite well at present but has the fruit, structure, balance & depth to hold for a few more years. I doubt any further development would occur from additional aging. A great example of an aged classic Napa Cabernet.
