Saturday, October 27, 2012 - Deep gold color - like many CdS wines. Not as rich as others I have had but good acidity and freshness. Flavors of grape fruit, elderflower, vanilla and lime. Mineral , chalk and also an earthy musty smell. Slight botrytis taste, but a very dry wine. Typical CdS, but not as complex or rich as others. But also not oxidized and odd so easier to drink than some. Great food wine, like all Joly wines. Had it with a roasted garlic pork and it both cut through the fats and added a pleasant floral and citrus counterpoint to the meal. Very nice, and easier than some.
