Sunday, May 6, 2018 - Lovely ruby. Wonderful from the first pour. Lovely heathy fruit, more cassis on the nose than I recall from older vintages. It also has the cream soda type of creamy, glycerin ripe fruit which I always find is a good sign! Wonderful mouth feel, not a hair out of place, lovely extraction, total cashmere-like and smooth (unlike the rough Clinet 2008 a few days earlier!). Good medium to full bodied, wonderful ripeness and aromas and length. Bravo to J-G as he really is a masterful wine maker and administrator and no doubt will take Lafite to god-like levels of deliciousness!!
