Friday, October 4, 2013 - Would not suggest drinking this now as expected. Must aerate for at least 3-4 hours in order to see some of the better qualities of this wine. Awesome red ruby color with an incredible shine. Nose evolves but shows fruit, smoke, dark chocolate and floral notes. Quality fruit on the palate and solid finish. Being an '08 Bordeaux, this wine just doesn't have the concentration of higher quality years. Give this at least 5-10 years.

10/4/2013 9:18:00 PM - It should thicken up with time in the cellar. I have seen this in many vintages, like 2004 which seemed very runny, but is starting to thicken up nicely in many a good bordeaux. I will let them have the sleep of the undead, but no to be touched for 10-15 years.

10/5/2013 11:12:00 AM - I hope so, other '08s I have had seem to be similar. Will follow your advice and hold for quite some time. Stick to the 09s if drinking young Bordeaux.
