Friday, November 27, 2015 - Coravin'd for an hour. This bottle had been previously "accessed" over a year ago. Totally opaque, "black hole" color with a very thin, purple-tinged rim. A high-toned nose of pan roasted Indian spices, smoked sage and anise. Viscous and soft on the palate , the flavors include licorice-tinged black and red fruit--bright and liveley--with crisp acidity and bakers chocolate-like tannins. Quite long and dry on the finish. A remarkable first effort. Drink now through 2018.
