Not as powerful as some of the richer vintages, but very elegant and complex with sweet pears, hay, tropical fruit compote, paper glue, honey and botrytis. Dense palate with good balance, ripe sweetness. Oily mouthfeel. Ends with dried, candied fruits on the long finish. The 2008 vintage has a rather modest reputation, but this is very, very good.
