Apricot, peach basically this is all stone fruits, nice acidity and lush decadent mouthfeel with a long finish, is very good but is just missing that extra gear that would make it great, but considering the price it’s excellent. Sweetness is well balanced.

Very fine, notes of toffee and apricots and vanilla. Lovely acidity holding it all together. Still a pup. Will wait 10 more years for the next bottle. When a half bottle is never enough!

Medium bodied, lighter styled effort, with a focus on the white peach, and honeyed, tropical fruits over concentration. There is good energy here, with a soft, sweet, luscious, tropical fruit finish. But it lacks the strength and power found in the top vintages.

Chateau Suduiraut 1982 Deep Amber Definitely signs of crime brule, showing age, smells like its one downward slope, smells old, almost to the point of flawed. Nose reminds me of sherry after a while. Deep powerful dried fruit, apricot, safron, plums a hint of raisins. Loads of sherry. You feel some of the alcohol. Medium lengt 83
Chateau Suduiraut 2002 Medium Amber First in the flight that shows some freshness on the nose, ripe pineapple, safron, spice. Spicy, slightly dried pineapple, apricot Slightly on the sweet side. Lacking some acidity 88
Chateau Suduiraut 2008 Amber in color Nice nose, fresh pineapple juice, honey, some apricot, passionfruit. More balanced sweetness and acidity, ripe pineapple slightly dried apricot, akacia honey, slight hint of safron 90
Chateau Suduiraut 2009 Starting to change from a ver light color to light color Slightly more oumpf on the nose, lots of fresh ripe exotic fruit, pineapple, passionfruit, apricot. Nose is balanced.
Honey, exotic fruits, loads of sweetness but the acidity backs it all up! Very complex fantastic. Spicy some botrytis Very powerful! Long taste Very balanced Beautiful 96
Chateau Suduiraut 2010 Light Amber Nose is slightly more honeyd than fruity, safron, spicy,
Acidity is domintating slightly, some heat, spicy, slight taste of very ripe pear. Not as complex as 2009. Quite nice but very simple compared to 2009 91
Chateau Suduiraut 2011 Light Amber Might be the most powerful nose on the flight. Loads of power on the nose. Lots of exotic fruit with a lot of power. This is a lot fresher fruity then the others. Very big difference.
Balanced sweetness and acidity, this is good! Almost as good as 2009, way better than 2010. Fresh exotic fruit, very pure! Pineapple, a hint of spice, apricots, honey, Very nice wine indeed. 95

Fantastisk nese med aprikos og andre tropiske frukter. Oljete munnfølese. Den er rik, fyldig med flott konsentrasjon. Veldig ungdommelig. Finishen sitter lenge. Nydelig vin, kunne dog hatt ørlite mer friskhet. Blåmuggost med en dråpe akasiehonning, var match made in heaven med denne.

Extremely pure, densely fruity nose. Very elegant and harmonius. Pineapple and citrus. Good depth. Medium-fullish body. Pure, elegant and very intense palate. Perfectly balanced sweetness. Lightness. Citrus and pineapple and a splendid grip! Tasted blind and compared to 4 other top Sauternes from 2008 we were not very good in determining the house style of the chateau's. We actually thought this was the Climens! It seems to be hard determining the style of Suduiraut... However, this was a mighty impressive bottle.

Fantastic nose straight out of the bottle. Not as powerful as some of the richer vintages, but very elegant and complex with sweet pears, hay, tropical fruit compote, paper glue, honey and botrytis. Dense palate with good balance, ripe sweetness. Oily mouthfeel. Ends with dried, candied fruits on the long finish. The 2008 vintage has a rather modest reputation, but this is very, very good.

WFA - 2008 Bordeaux Horizontal (Suntec Convention Hall): The nose is much intense, fresher and also tighter than the Doisy. This has the almond, nutty complexity that I'm looking for with a little bit smoke, fresh honey that added better breadth to the aromatic profile. Sweeter, bigger with better lift and precision. Layers of lychee, honey and some dried herb as well as almond and spices. Already showing good complexity and depth with very good freshness and long, intense finish. Very well but slightly lean toward sweeter side to me at this moment, perhaps some bottle age will help to tone down the sweetness level for better balance. 87-89+

UGC 2008 Bordeaux (The Drake, Chicago IL): nose: glorious and deep nose filled with peach galore, nectarines, honey tones, caramel and candied tones of green apples
taste: fuller bodied with medium+ acidity and deep tones of peaches, nectarines, honey tones, white fruits and caramel apples
overall: brutally young. This does need a lot of time to show off what it really has. Very well balanced with great depth on both the nose and palate

Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux 2008 Tasting (The Barker Hangar – Santa Monica, CA): Gorgeously elegant and complex on the nose with aromas of sweet flowers, poached pears and apples, spices, stone fruits, and minerals. The palate is simply amazing with satin texture, precise structure, and substantial fruit density. The flavors are novel and sublime with tremendous cinnamon spice thrust and a profound spine of graham cracker across the lingering mid palate. This is unreal in the mouth, I can't stress how unique and long the flavors are with an attractive stoney sweetness to the texture. One of the last wines I tasted, I had to go back for another pour as this was shocking in its quality, something I was not expecting from this vintage for Sauternes. Easily the class of the sweet wines and in the running for best of the tasting, I have to find some of this.

Union de Grand Cru wine Tasting -- SANTA MONICA. Always a favorite and a classic Sauterne. The Botrytis aftertaste lingered longer than I expected, but I found this wine smooth, with an excellent palate coating, lots of honeysickle, peach, honey-dewey fllavors striking an excellent balance! BRAVO.

Pale lemon coloured; a pungent grassy nose with some weighty ripe peach notes. Clean and fresh on the entry but becomes full and weighty on the mid-palate with honeyed golden syrup, vanilla and toffee notes. Good.

There is a lot of pineapple with some saffron on the nose. There is some complexity that I cannot get My hands on. It is a very inviting nose.
Palate is full of ripe pineapple. There is a good balanced between acidity and sweetness. I'm getting some tarte/crumble pie notes too.
This is really good. It has clearly developed a little bit towards more ripe fruit singel last time.
Love it!
