Saturday, December 17, 2022 - This is mediocre for vintage port from a solid vintage. The nose is quite good: lots of sweet raisin fruit with a hint of licorice and thyme. Some fruit cake and citrus zest. Really falls down on the palate. An initial wave of flavor quickly dissipates leaving a rather lean and bitter finish. It’s fine but no better than an average LBV.
