Thursday, December 1, 2011 - Another wine that has hit its stride! The weird weight to tannin issue has resolved itself into a nice weight to the now dusting tannins. This makes the tannin feel as though the wine is sitting atop a very sturdy backbone. There is just so much on the nose and something different seems to pop out every time I returned to the glass. The grip of tannins went excellent with crispy skin of the duck we prepared to have with this. 2005's have been less heralded in my wine circles but this was just singing when paired with rustic fare.
