Saturday, April 17, 2010 - Dark ruby red. Intense raspberry compote, spice, and leather on the nose. Somewhat light-bodied, tart blackberries, pepper, figs, slightly bitter cherries that coat the palate, strong tannins, and a medium finish. Seems kind of young and not quite ready. Better after a couple of hours of air.
2nd day: As I suspected, its better today. Brighter fruit, more pepper, and a clean, lingering finish.
