Not dead yet! I thought this zin may have kicked the bucket, but it is still a good solid zin. Very well balanced, smooth, with some spice present. Fruit has fallen off a bit, as expected.

Medium body style zin. Nice blend of dark berries, herbs, and acidity. I think this is nearing the end of its life and the decline will come soon and sharp.

Zinfandel tasting (non-blind): Very fruit-forward, with some cocoa and spice. Nose really weakened after some time in the glass. Peppery on the palate. Least favorite of the vertical, but still good. Drink now.

Great upon first opening. Dark berries in the aroma and palate. Interesting. Not much heat. Thins out as it opens-up. Tart cherries, which I don't care for. Hoping day 2 mellows the tartness and allows the richness to pull through.

Dark ruby red. Intense raspberry compote, spice, and leather on the nose. Somewhat light-bodied, tart blackberries, pepper, figs, slightly bitter cherries that coat the palate, strong tannins, and a medium finish. Seems kind of young and not quite ready. Better after a couple of hours of air. 2nd day: As I suspected, its better today. Brighter fruit, more pepper, and a clean, lingering finish.

It's drinking really well. Not overly pruney, good fruit.

Aromatic. Berries and pepper. Still very robust.

Still hanging in there, although I will probably drink our last bottle early in the coming year. Just a good, solid zin.

Good everyday Zin. Jammy with hint of oak. Decent finish. Good value, would buy again at the price.
